Never for the World

No, it was never,
Never for me,
Never for you,
Never for He.

Was it never
For the tumbling souls,
Scourged by hate,
Decaying,
Dying,
Asphyxiated?

No, it was never,
Never for two,
Never for three,
Never for who?

Are you done?
Done dining in sin,
Gorging in the filth,
Decaying,
Dying,
Suffocating?

Oh no, it was never,
Never for them,
Never for we,
No, it was never for them.

But you complain.
And why, who are you,
To think that your life is hard,
Decaying,
Dying,
Choking?

No, it was never,
Never for love,
Never for life,
Never for above.

Was all of it for you,
For the beauty of your soul,
Lasting a second, then?
Decaying,
Dying,
Drowning.

Are you finished?
Being blind to the need
Of the people who bleed,
Decaying,
Dying,
Smothering?

No, it was never,
Never for me,
Never for you,
Never for He.

Do you hear the cries,
The ones that you muffled
Inside of your very soul,
Decaying,
Dying?
Departed.

Oh no, it was never.
